Dimethylammonium iodide


  • Dimethylammonium Iodide (DMAI; CAS Number: 51066-74-1) is an organic halide salt used in the synthesis of perovskite optoelectronic systems including perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The incorporation of dimethylammonium iodide has been shown to enhance the efficiency of inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells (Meng et al., 2020). The addition of the cation Dimethylammonium to perovskite compositions causes a tilt in the perovskite octahedra, increasing the bandgap and resulting in efficient and stable PSCs (Eperon et al., 2020).
