Ethane-1,2-diammonium iodide (CAS Number: 5700-49-2) is a diammonium halide salt used as a perovskite precursor in the preparation of perovskite-based opto-electronic devices. The introduction of ethane-1,2-diammonium cations into a methyl ammonium lead iodide perovskite led to highly performing perovskite solar cells with improved stability (Lu et al., 2017).
