Efficient photon utilization is the key to realize high-performance organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells. Recently, Hou Jianhui, Cui Yong and others from the Chinese Academy of Sciences improved the photon utilization efficiency of high-performance organic photovoltaic cells by adjusting the phase transition kinetics. By modulating the donor and acceptor phase transition kinetics, a multiscale fiber network morphology was constructed in the PBQx TCl:PBDB-TF:eC9-2Cl-based system, and its unique phase transition process and crystal size were systematically investigated. PBQx-TCl and eC9-2Cl formed fibrous structures with a diameter of about 25 nm in the ternary membrane. Furthermore, the fibers assembled by PBDB-TF were evenly distributed on the fiber networks of PBQx-TCl and eC9-2Cl.
