Introduction: Ag nanowires appear black or light gray, and can be fabricated in suspension when stored in several of solvents (e.g. water, ethyl alcohol, isopropanol and others specified solvent). Ag nanowires can be produced with a diameter range from tens to hundreds nanometer, while the length up to tens of micrometer, and both of them can be customized. Ag nanowires show excellent electrical conductivity, and distinguished transparency and flexure resistivity duo to nanometer size effect. Thus, it is realized as the most potential material for replacing indium tin oxides (ITO) transparent electrode material, and further for applying in flexible and bendable light-emitting diode (LED), as well as touch display. More importantly, Ag nanowires have a superiority in the field of conducting resin and heat-conducting glue because of large ratio of length and diameter. Application: Optics applications: optical limiter, medical imaging, flexible display, plasma-surface equipment, solar cells. Conduction applications: conductive ink, conductive adhesive, liquid crystal display (LCD), organic light emitting diodes (OLED), touch screen. Anti-microbial applications: food preservation, antibacterial film, air and water purification. |
